![]() ![]() Thanks - do you find the screen comfortable on your eyes over long periods of use for your other work - I am guessing this involves reading, editing, creating documents - plus do you ever use an external monitor for photo editing? Also do you think the extra RAM makes a big difference? ![]() If you have any questions about this particular model of Macbook Air feel free to ask me. I heard the new Lightroom will be out soon which will bring performance benefits, hopefully that is true on the Air too. Disk operations generally and performance I find very good, no doubt due to the SSD (things like opening apps, moving files are impressively fast). But photos editing is not the main use for this machine so I can live with it. I need to constantly shift them off to a portable drive (the Air has USB3 though so moving files is fast). The only issue with photos on the Macbook is that the SSD is very small so I can't store a great deal of photos on it. the first white Macbook that came out in 2006, used it since then and still works fine) so the speed increase was very dramatic for me. ![]() I run Lightroom 5 on that exact Macbook Air (13") and I find it absolutely fine, no slowdowns at all. ![]()
